Bottom floor

Our apartment is on the bottom floor of Pinetree building one, which has three floors. In the apartment above us there are girls. Last year there were boys. Last year we’d hear loud banging noises through the ceiling and liked to joke around saying that the boys reenacted famous battles. Those loud banging noises that the boys of last year made are nothing compared to what the girls make this year.

What they must be doing to make such loud slamming and banging sounds is a mystery, but we do wonder how they make such noises. Our speculations include, but are not limited to: river dancing; river dance classes; dance classes in general; bowling; jump roping; they have a pet elephant; they juggle bowling balls; they juggle watermelons; they juggle bricks; they have bricks tied to their legs and/or arms; they have bowling balls glued to their legs and/or arms; they have bricks and/or bowling balls FOR legs and/or arms; they are very clumsy and trip every few seconds; they are very clumsy and trip every few seconds AND they have bricks and/or bowling balls for/tied to/glued to their arms and/or legs; whenever they step foot into their apartment their legs are stuck together by magic so they have to jump all the time; kangaroo races; they like the sound that is made when they stomp their feet and don’t realize how loudly it echoes in the apartment below them; they redecorate the apartment every day; or any combination of these.
